Last month the Elton John Aids Foundation (EJAF) announced the results of the progress over the last 18 months of their HIV SIB project.

One Health Lewisham helped deliver that project in Lewisham and has had it confirmed that EJAF will continue to support the project over the next year.

Dr Grace Bottoni, the OHL lead for the HIV project, gave  her thanks to all the GPs and their staff who had helped deliver the project across Lewisham.

There was an increase in HIV testing in OHL practices by more than 70%, which identified 9 new HIV diagnoses and 7 re-engagements of patients with HIV back into secondary HIV care.

Earlier this month, Dr Bottoni was interviewed by Anne Aslett, Chief Executive Officer of EJAF where they discussed the work being delivered in Lewisham and the impact to the work due to the Coronavisus.
