Training Hubs have been rolled out across the country to meet the educational needs of the multi-disciplinary Primary Care team and support the development of our current and future workforce.
Lewisham CEPN Training Hub was established in 2016 and some of you may know us as Lewisham CEPN Ltd. We are tasked with not only ensuring the delivery of quality education, training and support for our existing workforce but also supporting workforce planning (including recruitment, retention and return of all staff groups) and we are an essential vehicle of workforce transformation. Every Primary Care Network (PCN) will have access to training hub resources.
We plan and deliver workforce development and training that engages with new ways of working to meet our population’s health needs. We work collaboratively with a range of partners including One Health Lewisham, our six PCNs and Health Education England (HEE). We are an integral part of the South East London Training Hub network and we meet regularly with colleagues to share good practice and identify training needs across all the six Boroughs who are part of this collaborative network.
Our values are reflected in our partnership working – we listen, we learn from and celebrate each other’s success. We share our innovations and ideas openly, to make sure they benefit everyone and avoid unnecessary duplication.
We offer an extensive range of professional development opportunities including our hugely popular Lunch & Learn sessions. These have recently covered a wide range of topics including Asthma, Diabetes, COPD, Skin Conditions and Obesity. If you have a particular training need that you would like to explore, we would love to hear from you and understand how we can help.
