One Health Lewisham’s GP Fellows 2020-21

GP Fellow in Digital & Education

Yvonne Tin

I am the new GP Fellow for Digital and Education. I have worked in Lewisham and Greenwich since 2015, completing my GP training on the Greenwich scheme. I have previously worked abroad in Newcastle, Australia and have also done a management and leadership fellowship with Aviva, Health and Protection UK, gaining insight into an organisation outside of the NHS. Outside of work I enjoy yoga, baking and diving

GP Fellow in Lifestyle Medicine

Rik Fijten

I am the new GP Fellow in Lifestyle Medicine. I started working in Lewisham in August – taking up a salaried role across two practices within The Lewisham Care Partnership. As well as completing the MRCGP, I have also completed the MRCP which provided me with a solid grounding in clinical medicine, and complex clinical medicine is an area which I find fascinating. I have a real interest in population health, lifestyle medicine and and how we, as primary care healthcare professionals, can improve the health and wellbeing of our local population through simple and sustainable interventions. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, playing football and listening to podcasts.

GP Fellow for Learning Disability, Mental Health and Social Prescribing

Sonya Ghatahora

I am the new GP Fellow for Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Social Prescribing. I trained under the Lewisham VTS scheme and have been working in Lewisham since 2017. Prior to this I completed a public health internship in in Sierra Leone where I gained experience in evaluating public health programmes as well as collecting, analysing and presenting data for publication. My interests outside of work include yoga, running, cycling, and walking our sausage dog.

GP Fellow for BAME Health Inequalities & HIV

Georgina Thomas

I am the BAME health inequalities & HIV fellow. I completed by GP training in Lewisham in August 2020 and have continued to work in the borough at Morden Hill surgery. I worked in South Africa prior to starting my GP training and developed an interest in sexual health and HIV, completing my sexual health diploma in 2018. I am committed to equity in health for all. I love being outdoors, and enjoy cycling to work and swimming.

GP Fellow Leads

Margaret Senbanjo

Hi, I’m Margaret I am a joint clinical lead for Clinical Effectiveness Group (CEG) alongside Grace. Hopefully some of you will already know who I am as I was a GP Fellow with OHL last year and predominantly helped with the development of CEG, the OHL Covid response and did clinical work in GPEA and the hot hubs. I completed my GP training in Lewisham last year and am a salaried GP at Sydenham Green. Outside of work (and during lockdown) I enjoy cooking, cycling and seeing friends.

Grace Bottoni

Hi I’m Grace and I am a joint Clinical Lead for the Clinical Effectiveness Group (CEG) with Margaret. Last year I was the GP HIV Champion working alongside the Elton John AIDS Foundation, running the first Social Impact Bond on HIV in the World. You can see the work we have been doing in Lewisham under ‘Our Services’ and then ‘Zero HIV project’.
I did my GP training in Lewisham and I am currently a salaried GP at the South Lewisham Group Practice.
This year I started cycling to work which I have really enjoyed and hope to keep up!
