OHL are supporting UHL to launch its CARRS Service – a home visiting service for the Ambulatory Care department at the Hospital.
The service will be very similar to the Home Visit service we already deliver, with referrals accepted from healthcare professionals via the phone, where they will be triaged before being accepted or declined (based on clinical need, existing workload and/or time). Declined referrals will include clinical advice and redirection to an alternative pathway as appropriate.
OHL will be managing the triage and appointment element of the CARRS service alongside our own home visiting service workload at a shared location within the Hospital.
The service will go live late September/Early October through a phased response pilot, during which the initial response will be offered with an existing workforce while recruitment and retention work continues
