GPEA Service – Sessional GPs
Locum Sessional GPs are needed for this exciting One Health Lewisham service which is based in University Hospital Lewisham.
All practices and the GPEA service use EMIS Web. Having invested in EMIS Clinical Services and Remote Consultation, all sessional clinicians working for the GPEA are able to see and write into the patient’s usual GP record as if they were a locum working at that patient’s practice. Therefore, for indemnity purposes, all GPEA shifts are classified to be routine sessions and not as OOH sessions.
You will be seeing routine, pre-booked patients only. The Service is not a Walk-In Centre or Urgent Care Centre.
GPEA UCC service – Sessional GPs
We are actively recruiting locum sessional GPs for a pilot working with Lewisham Urgent Care centre. Patients attending urgent care who are triaged as requiring a GP appointment, will be booked into a GP appointment via GPEA. As with the routine GPEA service, doctors will have access to EMIS remote consultation for these patients, and hence this would also be treated as a routine session.
Sessions times: 3-5 hour sessions between 0800 to 2000 daily, 365 days per year
